Sleeping Better to Encourage Dreams
The only thing worse than having bad dreams is not dreaming at all and more and more people are reporting trouble getting deep sleep at night. Here are a few suggestions for getting the best night’s sleep ever to ensure you hit that REM cycle so you can enjoy and explore your dreams!
Turn off All Media: At least one hour before you intend to go to sleep turn off your direct TV And Internet and let your eyes adjust to the absence of ambient light. We suggest reading or laying quietly to help your body relax.
Get Cool: It’s easier for the body to enter REM sleep if your heart rate is slowed and if you’re laying prone in a hot room that’s not going to happen. Ditch the feather comforter and lower the AC before you hit the sack to catch those Zs.
Allow Yourself Time: Don’t set an alarm if you can help it and go to bed as early as you need to get a full 8 hours of sleep. Keep in mind some people need more than 8 hours to feel rested.
